A HOME FOR ALL LEARNERS
Luma Montessori is designed to meet the needs and ignite the intellectual spark of all learners—including children who would benefit from speech and occupational therapy as well as children who might have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
SPEECH AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Because we start with such young learners, it’s quite common that our teachers notice an area that could be strengthened through beyond-the-classroom work with a specialist. Our onsite speech and occupational therapists make it easy for you and your child to get the support you need right here at Luma.
Supplemental speech and occupational work is available as frequently and for as long as your child benefits from it. The goal is always to help students solidify their skills to the point where they no longer need additional support.
THE ABA CENTER
Our on-site Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy Center offers a supplemental learning environment that ensures all students learn the way that suits them best as they reach their highest potential. Staffed by our full-time, board-certified ABA therapist, Luma’s ABA Center offers individualized, scientifically based services open to all students.
Here, children find a safe space to work with adults to create a personalized plan that leads to greater academic success, increased social awareness, and a liberating sense of self-direction and independence.
At the ABA Center, we work closely with families to map achievable learning goals around areas that span from communication and social skills to academics. And our trained staff and services are a resource for your child as long as needed, whether that’s for a few months, a few years, or their whole time at Luma. It’s simply another part of our mission of educating the whole child.
